I’ll be revisiting The Mist Trail many times for my Yosemite show, but the Beautiful Places show is great. I was actually on my way up to the top of Half Dome, but never made it. I spent most of the day filming and was probably the slowest hiker there that day. I stayed the night in Little Yosemite Valley that night. I decided (lazy as I am) that the shots I had were perfect for a Mist Trail episode.
The image of Vernal Falls on the left is from a nice early morning start with no big video camera in tow. I made it to the top of Half Dome that day! This is one of my favorite shots. I love the way the light just touches the top of the falls. Check out the show and tell me what you think.
